Swietenia Macrophylla, also commonly known as Honduran mahogany or big-leaf mahogany, is one of only three hardwood species that is considered "genuine mahogany." While there are numerous timber species available that are marketed as “mahogany” or “mahogany alternatives,” in our humble opinion, if it’s not Genuine Mahogany, it’s not mahogany - period.
